Bangla Academy Australia presented a Debate Competition in Melbourne in assocation with Western Region Bangla School (WRBS ) for school students. This debate competition was the first ever debate completion for the WRBS Student. The program was host to support the disadvantaged students of Aalok Shikkhaloy, Dhaka Bangladesh. Rasheda Nasreen, the founder and director of Aalok was the guest speaker at the event. Judges decided to announce both team to be the champion and winners are the disadvantaged students of Aalok Shikkhaloy, The Audience, parents and the teams donated a total amount A$1000.00 (One thousand Australian dollars and handed to the Authority of Aalok Shikkhaloy, Bangladesh. It was a great success for local and Bangladeshi students. All students were awarded a certificate by the Bangla Academy Australia.
