একাডেমির পরিচালক আনোয়ার আকাশ এক সংক্ষিপ্ত সফরে কুইন্সল্যান্ড এর বাঙ্গালীদের সাথে ভাব বিনিময় করেন। ব্রিসবেন এ বসবাসকারী বাংলা ভাষার সংগঠকদের সাথে ২৯ ডিসেম্বর ২০১৪ আলোচনায় অংশ নিয়েছেন। এ ছাড়াও জনাব আনোয়ার আকাশ ব্রিসবেন বাংলা রেডিও’র সাথে কুইন্সল্যান্ডকে মুল কাজের সাথে সম্পৃক্ত করার অভিপ্রায়ে বাংলা একাডেমির বিস্তারিত কার্যক্রম বর্ণনা করেন।
